Product detailed description

Purple elegance with minimal demands

If you are looking for a garden bursting with colour, but at the same time require resilient and undemanding genetics, Purple Kush from Kannabia Seed Company is exactly for you. This feminised photoperiod variety is an improved version of classic purple genetics. It is a strongly indica-dominant hybrid (approximately 75 % Indica / 25 % Sativa), bred with the aim of offering growers a plant with high aesthetic value that does not require complicated care. It is the ideal choice for those who want to combine beauty with utility.

Genetics: The strength of Black Domina and the colours of Kush

The breeders at Kannabia decided to strengthen the vigour and production of the original “Purple” landrace varieties through sophisticated crossing. The parent lines here are Black Domina x Purple Kush. The influence of Black Domina genetics is key to the plant’s structural strength and increased resin production. In contrast, the Purple Kush parent brings its unmistakable colour palette and specific earthy aroma into the gene pool. The result is a hybrid that is more robust than its predecessors.

Morphology and visual appeal

In the vegetative phase, Purple Kush appears as a compact plant with the bushy structure typical of indicas. It develops a strong central stem and sturdy side branches. What will catch your attention most, however, is its colouring. The leaves and flowers turn into intense shades of purple, lilac and violet. Unlike many other varieties, this genetics has a natural predisposition to turning purple, so it colours beautifully even without the need for extremely low temperatures.

The flowers are dense, hard and heavily resinous. The contrast between the dark purple mass of the flower and the bright white trichomes creates the effect as if the plant had been sprinkled with sugar.

Growing and feeding specifics

Purple Kush is rated as a variety with easy growing difficulty, especially thanks to its high resistance to pests and humidity. However, it has one essential specific feature that you should keep in mind: it is sensitive to overfeeding. This plant prefers lower nutrient doses than common varieties. We recommend feeding sparingly to avoid nutrient burn. If you follow this rule, it will reward you indoors with a yield of up to 500 g/m² in just 58 to 60 days. Outdoors, it is ready for harvest in mid-October with a potential of up to 800 g per plant.

Aroma: Sweet fruit and damp earth

The olfactory profile of this variety is rich and sweet, which makes it slightly different from the purely earthy tones of some other purple varieties. It is dominated by distinct notes of fresh fruit. This sweet base is supported by complex layers of damp earth and native herbs, a characteristic trait inherited from the roots of Northern Californian and Kush.
