Genetics: Optimising an icon

This variety is the result of careful optimisation of legendary genetics. The basis is a selected clone of “Pure Skunk” (Skunk #1), which is renowned for its stability and yield. To achieve faster ripening, the breeders crossed this photoperiodic Skunk with a specific Ruderalis/Autoflowering line. An important step, however, was backcrossing, which ensured that the plant retains its photoperiodic nature (flowering depends on a change in the light cycle), but can ripen several weeks earlier than the original version.

Morphology and necessary support

In the vegetative phase, Pure Skunk Go Fast shows the classic structure of a sativa-dominant hybrid. It grows with great vitality and forms a strong, richly branched architecture. The leaves are large and serrated, so pruning them is often recommended so that light can also penetrate the lower levels. During flowering, the plant forms a massive central bud accompanied by heavy satellite buds on the side branches. Due to the high weight of the flowers and vigorous branching, the use of support is highly recommended (stakes or a net) to prevent the stems from breaking under the weight of the harvest.

Cultivation and intense aroma

This variety is valued for its robustness and adaptability, which makes it rated as easy to grow and suitable for beginners and experts alike. Indoors, it finishes flowering extremely quickly, in just 45 to 50 days. Outdoors, it is ready for harvest already in mid-September, which is key to protecting the crop from mould associated with late rains.

The aromatic profile is strong and penetrating, exactly what you would expect from the “Skunk” family. The base is pungent and sweet, enriched with fruity undertones and a sharp spicy note. Due to the intensity of the smell, you should ensure quality ventilation with carbon filters when growing indoors.
