Product detailed description

Radish sprouts – Spicy flavour and strength for your immunity

Enrich your diet with fresh radish sprouts, which will surprise you with their sharp, peppery and distinctive flavour, almost identical to the taste of the mature root. These small but powerful shoots are not only a culinary experience, but also a concentrated source of valuable nutrients that will support your health.

Health benefits full of strength

Radish sprouts are a true superfood that brings a range of benefits for your body:

  • Immune support: Thanks to their extremely high vitamin C content (twice that of the radish root), they are an ideal helper for strengthening the body's defences, especially during cold season.
  • Support for the respiratory tract: They contribute to better expectoration of mucus, thus providing relief during respiratory problems.
  • Beauty from within: The high sulphur content has a demonstrably positive effect on the condition and quality of your skin, hair and nails.

Use in the kitchen

Their spicy flavour wonderfully enlivens many dishes. They are ideal for salads, sandwiches or as a distinctive ingredient in spreads, especially egg-based ones. If you chop them finely, they become an excellent and unexpected addition to cream soups.

Growing and harvesting

Growing your own fresh radish sprouts is easy and quick:

  1. Soaking: First soak the seeds in cold water for 6 to 8 hours.
  2. Preparation: After soaking, spread them evenly on the mesh of the sprouting tray.
  3. Watering: Fill the container with water so that the level reaches just below the mesh, and keep it at this height throughout the sprouting period.
  4. Sprouting: The seeds will sprout within 3 to 5 days, depending on the surrounding conditions.
  5. Harvesting: Harvest the sprouts once they reach a height of 3 to 5 cm. Simply cut them off at the base with scissors. We recommend tasting them during growth so you can find the ideal flavour profile that suits you best.

Storage

After harvesting, you can keep the fresh sprouts in the refrigerator, where they will retain their quality and flavour for 3 to 4 days.
