Wappa: Stable "Skunk" genetics with a fruity heart
Wappa is one of the most popular and most highly regarded feminised photoperiod strains in the Paradise Seeds portfolio. Since its launch in 2006, it has built a reputation for exceptionally stable genetics that offer generous yields without demanding maintenance. This hybrid with an indica dominance (60 %) comes from the "Sweet Skunk" line and was bred with the aim of selecting the biggest and juiciest profiles of the Skunk family while maintaining robust growth.
Plant morphology and structure
Wappa plants grow to a medium height and are characterised by a stocky and sturdy build. They form a strong central cola, which is complemented by many side branches when trained appropriately. The flowers are large, firm and dense, resembling fluffy but hard "buds" in shape. The surface of the flowers sparkles with a thick layer of resin crystals.
A huge advantage for you will be the high calyx-to-leaf ratio. The plant produces relatively little foliage around the inflorescences, which makes the final post-harvest trim (manicuring) extremely quick and easy.
Growing specifications and yield
Wappa is a highly versatile and resilient genetics, often described as "bulletproof" thanks to its resistance to pests and unfavourable environmental conditions. Due to its compact structure, it is an ideal candidate for the Sea of Green (SOG) method and spaces with limited height (grow boxes).
- Indoor growing: The flowering phase lasts 55 to 60 days (approx. 8–9 weeks) with a yield of around 550 g/m².
- Outdoor growing: Outdoors, it adapts well even to the climate of Northern Europe, although it shows its maximum potential in southern, sunny regions. Harvest falls in mid-October and strong plants can produce up to 700 g.
Terpene profile and aroma
During the flowering phase, this strain produces a very strong aroma that is deep and distinctly fruity. Sweet notes reminiscent of fresh strawberries and cherries dominate, often described as a "marshmallow" sweetness with a classic Skunk background.
