Panama Red: Legendary 100% Sativa Landrace

We present Panama Red, a feminised and stabilised version of a pure Sativa landrace that became famous in the 1960s and 1970s. This legendary annual plant is known for its unique characteristics, classic structure and THC content reaching up to 21%.

Classic Sativa in all its glory

The plant grows tall, is slender, with long internodes and strong, sturdy stems – exactly as you would expect from a pure sativa. The flowers are long and conical, with a dark green colour that contrasts beautifully with the long, thin pistils. During ripening, these pistils can take on a bright, vivid red colour, which gave this strain its name.

Intensely sweet terpene profile

The terpene profile is intensely sweet and fruity. It is reminiscent of sweet candy, caramel and toffee, with distinct notes of fresh lemon that add freshness and sparkle to the overall aroma.

Cultivation and indoor recommendations

Due to its pure sativa genetics, Panama Red undergoes enormous stretching during the flowering period. When grown indoor, plants can reach a height of 140–200 cm and the flowering time is 10 to 12 weeks. To manage their height, it is strongly recommended to use training techniques such as low-stress training (LST).

Growers should also consider starting the flowering phase very early, as soon as the plant is well rooted and has developed its first primary leaves, to keep the pronounced stretching under control.
