Frozen Black Cherry: Icy potency and an explosion of fruity aroma
We present Frozen Black Cherry, a feminised strain with a strong indica dominance (80%), created by combining the popular Blackberry Moonrocks and the potent Pacific Frost. The aim was to combine the massive resin production and broad terpene spectrum of both parents, resulting in an annual plant with THC content reaching up to 36%.
Delicious terpene profile
One of the main features of this strain is its terpene profile. It offers a delicious and complex blend of juicy cherries, red berries and grapes. The aroma is fresh and sweet with a slightly sour note, dominated by the scent of fresh forest fruits and ripe cherries.
Flowers that look frozen
The flowers are characteristically rock-hard, dense and super sticky. The strain boasts such high resin production that the flowers look frozen, covered in a dense, sparkling white layer of trichomes. This massive resin yield also makes it an ideal choice for producing high-quality extracts.
Cultivation and maximising the harvest
Frozen Black Cherry is an adaptable and versatile plant that thrives in various growing environments. Due to its bushy structure, it is beneficial to defoliate the plants 1–3 times during the growth phase so that more light reaches the side branches and flowers. The quality of the harvest can be further increased by using a UVB lamp during the last 3 weeks of flowering.
Yields and a fast harvest
When grown indoor, the plants reach a manageable height of 100–140 cm and have a short flowering time of just 8 to 9 weeks, while producing high yields of up to 500 g per square metre.
When grown outdoor, the plants grow to a height of 160–220 cm and each one is capable of producing up to 1000 g. The harvest is usually ready at the end of September.
