Dankberry: Dessert aroma and extreme potency

We present Dankberry, a feminised variety with a slight indica dominance (60%), which was bred by crossing Little Devil and Skunkberry. The aim was to achieve extremely high THC content, a sweet terpene profile and great yields. The result is a variety with extraordinary potency, where THC content can reach up to 35%.

Terpene profile and appearance of the flowers

The terpene profile is a complex and rich dessert-like blend combining the scent of ripe berries and nuts. In the background, notes of blueberries and a subtle acidity can also be recognised. The flowers are known for their massive resin production, which creates a sparkling layer of trichomes covering not only the flowers, but also the surrounding leaves. This makes this variety ideal for the production of concentrates and extractions.

Growing characteristics and phenotypes

Dankberry shows two main phenotypes that differ slightly in growth and flowering time. The first is a more compact, darker variant with a flowering time of around 60 days. The second phenotype grows lighter and taller and needs 5–10 days longer to ripen. When exposed to cooler night temperatures, the plants can develop dense, purple-coloured flowers.

Indoor and outdoor cultivation

When grown indoor, the plants reach a height of 130–160 cm and produce above-average yields of up to 550 g per square metre.

In outdoor conditions, Dankberry plants can become very large, reaching heights between 200 and 270 cm. Harvest is ready at the end of September and each plant is capable of producing a massive yield in the range of 800 to 1200 grams.
